Co-ed Beach Volleyball City League Champions!

I should leave out the part that we play in Div E - the lowest division in the league, ha - and that we lost all, but one game and won both playoff games by default because the other teams didn't show up. But we got the t-shirts and that's what counts in the pictures!

Summer had a bit of a late start this year with an unusually rainy June and July, but August has been making up for lost time with it's beautifully clear skies and hot hot temperatures.

And we've been making up for lost time at the beach. Even Fitz has a tan after this week! 

Lou comes to visit!

If only we could trick her into staying with us forever :-)

Friday's excursions included lunch on the patio at Lake Breeze which has quickly trumped all others as my favorite winery. It was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was fantastic. We will definitely be going back!

We spent the rest of the weekend between the beach and home with a little bit of shopping thrown in there. (Joe is marking down all their summer clothes, okay?) It was delightful all around. 

And now we're planning for the next Fitz family to visit  at the end of September! Can't wait to see Ames and Nath and snuggle with Til!

I'm here and alive... just insanely busy.

Kait has been here since Thursday and leaves tomorrow so we've been showing her around town and then Lou comes on Thursday! I love having people around!

Fitz has been filling in at work, doing 2-3 jobs each week this summer so he's running in multiple directions and sleeping when he stops.
